Tasting Notes
Deep ruby |

Perfumed and expressive on the nose, with ripe black cherry, blueberry compote and bramble fruit underpinned by briar spice and a delicate dried rose petal note. |
|
The full and generous palate displays notes of dark plum and morello cherry at the core, with subtle savoury complexity of forest floor and a touch of five spice woven through the mid-palate. Fine, silky tannins provide structure without weight, guiding the wine to a long, juicy finish. |

All 2017-planted Abel clone. Fully destemmed. No new wood. A very bright crimson. A little reticent at first before opening up to reveal aromas of cherry and fresh earth, violet more than rose and dark spices. The palate is plush without being heavy, with ripe, very fine tannins giving the wine structure and length. Very different from but equally as good as its stablemate, the Laura Barnes '25. Will age beautifully over the next five to seven years.
