This wine is an expression of purity and finesse, showcasing the terroir of our estate’s Y28 vineyard. With a westerly facing slope and 75m elevation, this site produces a wine that demonstrates flavours of yellow stone fruits, crushed cashew and slight flint notes, bound in a beautifully fine and tense acidity.

Tasting Notes
Pale yellow straw. |
|
Opens with ripe nectarine and grapefruit pith, with crushed cashews lending a quiet, toasty richness. |
|
The palate is fleshy and generous with white peach and lemon curd up front and a cool streak of wet river stones keeping things fresh and focused. A tight coil of bright acidity runs through to the finish, giving the wine its shape and drive. |

From the Y28 block at Yering Station planted in 2000. Barrel fermented and matured in seasoned 500L French puncheons. No mlf. Bright gold with green tinges. A subtle bouquet with nashi pear, orange blossom and some sea spray. The palate is pithy and long, with the acidity nicely integrated into the wine. This will open up nicely over the next six to 12 months and then drink well for another four to six years after that.
