2022 Village Chardonnay

Our Village family of wines are classic expressions of the varieties that the Yarra Valley does best, letting the bright, vibrant fruit flavours speak for themselves. There is a delicate richness from barrel ferment along with the melon fruit and citrus that fleshes out the mid-palate, which runs through to a long finish.

Professional Reviews

So expressive in aromas of nectarine, white peach, citrus and grilled nuts. Reveals a quiet elegance which can be quite rare to find at this sub-$30 price point. Combines the kind of Yarra Valley strengths we like to see – texture, well-measured acidity and strong stone fruit and citrus scents and flavours against some non-intrusive, thoughtful oak. The palate opens up to embrace hints of lemongrass, quince paste, cashew and grapefruit pith that explore additional attractive flavours. Top taste for the price.
Barrel fermented and matured in 500L French barrels (14% new). A bright green gold. White peach, spring flowers and a little orange blossom honey can be found in this flavoursome, balanced and already approachable wine. At this price, it's a wine to drink and enjoy now and over the next two to three years.
