Professional Reviews

Yarra Valley chardonnay, in the zone. Cracked wheat, peach, toast and cooked apple flavours wash confidently through the palate, the finish then both dry and persistent. This is neither too slim nor too full; it’s just right. There’s just enough ‘personality’ too; it’s not sterile.
Barrel fermented in 500L French puncheons. No mlf; nine months in barrel (20% new). There's a little struck-match character together with attractive aromas of just-picked nectarines and a hint of cashew. The palate is grapefruit pithy, gently textured and long. A very nicely put-together wine that will continue to improve over the short to medium term.

A light bodied but super intense and complex young Chardonnay from one of the best in the Yarra. Grapefruit and stone fruit provide a compelling opening on the nose with just a little morning cereal and spice. The palate is creamy smooth with a rich and lavishly textured mouth feel. The mix of savoury minerality is so engaging with the chalky acid line a feature.
Light-mid yellow colour; smoky cashew nut and nougat aromas with a high note of smoked charcuterie. There is good intensity of flavour, lean and nervy, tense and appealing, with again creamy lees and toasted nuts, a smidge of oak and a suggestion of low-level sulfides. Very good intensity and detail for a wine of its price. It has plenty of richness and drive
