FROM BARE GROUND TO A THRIVING HABITAT IN THE MAKING
Recently, our team along with passionate volunteers planted 4,000+ native trees, shrubs and grasses on our Yering Station estate site in partnership with TreeProject and the Yarra Ranges Council’s Ribbons of Green program.
Visible from the Melba Highway, you’ll see these seedlings transform into a rich, thriving corridor over time.
This broader project spans various sites on our property, with 1000 plants also planted on our Laura Barnes Vineyard site. A living testament to our sustainability commitments and respect of the land we steward.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Because healthy vineyards and healthy ecosystems go hand in hand. Planting a rich mix of native species, from River Bottlebrush to Golden Wattle, helps restore habitats, stabilise soil, improve water retention and so much more. This rich biodiversity creates a more balanced and resilient environment for our vines to thrive today, tomorrow, for years to come.
