Our Village family of wines are classic expressions of the varieties that the Yarra Valley does best, letting the bright, vibrant fruit flavours speak for themselves. Juicy and lush from the get-go, bountiful cherry and macerated strawberries coat the palate, framed with a delicate lattice of tannin. Flavour and texture continue, along with beautiful, fresh acidity driving into a long finish.

Tasting Notes
Bright ruby with a magenta hue. |

Plump raspberries, cherries and cacao. |

The energetic palate is brimming with red and dark berries and cranberries supported by a silky tannin that provides a great frame for the plump, fruitful profile. Beneath these highlights is some wonderful complexity of subtle toasted oak and freshly tilled earth. The wine finishes with the same youthful, delicious energy it begins with. |

Like the Village chardonnay, this over-delivers for the price in this excellent vintage. A light, bright crimson. Fragrant with aromas of freshly picked raspberries, bright florals and a little sandalwood incense. Bright and succulent on the medium-bodied palate, with silky tannins making for a very tasty wine to drink now and over the next two to three years.

Fresh. Wise. Vibrant. Australia needs more wines of this quality, sitting at the thirty-dollar mark. Take a bow. Salted strawberries, red cherries and chocolate-coated coffee beans. Smart winemaking. No peacocking. Pleased with itself, though. In the mouth, it made me smile. Firm yet graceful tannins, sprightly acid and gentle edges. Tight on opening, I suspect it will stretch out nicely over the next year. A touch of rose petal and blood orange through the finish. Drink slightly cooler than room temperature. Stock up.

Some extra sassy notes to this perky young Pinot Noir make it a memorable wine. Combines red and black cherries, black plum, mulberry with herbs on a juicy palate studded in dusty cocoa, cassia bark and hints of dried cranberry. Offers a real amalgam of fruit and spice with a subtle but telling herbal profile that runs the distance of the wine allied to sinewy tannins. Some classic Yarra Valley Pinot highlights make this a stand-out Pinot for the smart price.
