Viticulture

100% Chardonnay
2025
Yarra Valley
Ideal spring conditions led to excellent fruit set and beautifully balanced canopies. A warm summer, tempered by cool nights, nurtured healthy crops rich in flavour, vibrant in colour, and with beautifully ripe tannins. Harvest was swift and intense, with perfectly ripened Chardonnay and Pinot Noir picked throughout February, followed by Shiraz, Cabernet, and other varieties in March.

Tasting Notes

Pale white gold.
White peaches, lemon balm and crushed cashews.
Mouthfilling flavours of yellow citrus, nectarine pith and white florals. A beautiful generosity of texture layers across the palate, complemented by subtle savoury notes of roasted nuts and baking spices. Delicate tannin and taut acidity provide a backbone that keeps the frame centred and vibrant through the long finish.

Yering Station consistently delivers the goods at this price point, and this is no exception. Brightly coloured with aromas of stone fruits, yellow apple and just a touch of lemon oil. It's textured through the mid-palate before finishing gently pithy and long. Tick.

Vintage 2025 in the Yarra Valley was fast paced, a little like the Village Chardonnay from that year. Shows its sunny side early with aromas of yellow peach, nectarine, citrus, flint and light spice. An attractive creaminess across the middle palate is signature Village in league with citrus, ripe stone fruits and a lively spiciness. Nicely integrated with oak, the overall effect is one of a streamlined, bright Chardonnay. Finishes on a zesty high note.
