Laura Barnes was the first Yarra Valley vineyard bought by the proprietors of Yering Station, the Rathbone family, named after their adored grandmother. The 2024 Laura Barnes is expressive of this significant site, displaying savoury foraged mushroom notes, with beautifully ripe cherry lifting the back of the palate.

All clone MV6 from a vineyard in Yarra Glen replanted after the fires in '09. Matured in seasoned 500L French puncheons. A bright crimson purple. A lovely wine from the outset. Aromas of dark cherry together with an earthy, savoury nuance and some brown spices. Good weight and richness on the beautifully balanced and finely structured palate. Those that still have a bottle or two six to 10 years from now should be well rewarded.
