This wine is an expression of purity and finesse, showcasing the terroir of our estate’s Y28 vineyard. With a westerly facing slope and 75m elevation, this site produces a wine that demonstrates flavours of yellow stone fruits, crushed cashew and slight flint notes, bound in a beautifully fine and tense acidity.

Tasting Notes
Pale lemon. |
Lemon balm, peach skin, white blossoms and cashews. |
Delicately poised with citrus blossom, lemon pith and just ripened nectarine. Elegant, mineral, wet river stones glide through the saline finish. |
Drinking well in its youth, this wine will favour medium term cellaring. |

From the Y28 block at Yering Station planted in 2000. Barrel fermented and matured in seasoned 500L French barrels. No mlf. A rich, bright green gold. An intense and pure-fruited nose with aromas of ripe peach, orange pith and a little spice. Mouth-filling and opulent on the palate. It's well balanced, too. A fascinating contrast between this and the new Spring Lane Vineyard Chardonnay; different but equally good.
