Bright peach and nectarine aromas, a touch of matchstick, the palate very tangy with elevated acidity, lemons and grapefruit are uppermost and the wine is refined and long on the palate. The high acidity gives an impression of leanness, but the wine remains impressive in its fruit purity, and certainly has a future.

Whole bunch pressed into the barrel on solids and matured for 9 months in seasoned French oak. There is a display of yellow citrus and white frangipani flowers. Some lemon cream icing and fresh linen purity. Smooth river stone and chalk dust. The palate skips with elevated and linear acidity, some cashew nut cream and honey solids. A creamy raw cheese milk on the finish. This glides and ebbs along the palate with delicate nuances of soft buttery richness. Very Yarra and very Yering Station, ideal with a creamy decadent pasta with a pecorino bite. Drink now or will cellar well for another 5-6 years further.

Planted in '19 in Coldstream, this is a new single-vineyard release from Yering Station. Zero new oak but 100% mlf. Excellent colour. Restrained, in a good way, with its aromas of clingstone peach, orange blossom, a little acacia honey and a touch of flint. Gently textured and with a excellent backbone of acidity that augurs well for the future. An excellent first-up release.
