Rich black fruits meld beautifully with peppercorn, anise spice and subtle toasted notes. Balanced and complex, the mid palate seamlessly extends to a long graceful finish. Velvet-like tannins support the fruit and provide enhanced opulence.

A solid growing season in the Yarra Valley. Conditions encouraged very even fruit sets, resulting in big and strong canopies. Resulting wines are full of flavour, complexity and impeccable balance. |
Tasting Notes
Deep purple ruby. |
|
Crushed ripe black berries, star anise spice and white pepper. |
|
Velvety and lush, the black and blue fruits overlay a rich and generous palate. There’s lots of complex spice imparted from both the fruit and the French oak used. The finish is long and moreish. |

This is firmly in the riper spectrum, yet composed. It’s silky and textured, full of dark plums, wood char, licorice and dried herbs. The full-bodied palate is fleshy and satisfying, with expansive tannins. Drinking well right now.

This is surprisingly soft and rounded; the 2019 Shiraz / Viognier is buffed and smooth, devoid of any hard edges in the mouth whatsoever. Initially, I attributed this to alcohol, but 14% is not raising any flags. The wine has a dark chocolate polish, emphasized by the core of plump, saturated fruit on the middle palate. Elegant and lovely. Very Good.

Bright purple. Jammy, spice-tinged dark berries and a floral nuance on the fragrant nose. Juicy and energetic in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet blueberry and cherry flavours and a hint of candied licorice. The blue fruit note clings on the long, smooth finish, where gentle tannins come in late.
