Palate
Satsuma plum and dark cherry provide a fruit core. Savoury spice and french oak enhance the richness and complexity. The co-fermentation of Shiraz and Viognier give this cool climate Shiraz a lushness and plump centre. This supported by fine tannins and a velvet like finish provide drinkabiliy and longevity.

Review
This takes me back fifteen or so years to when I first tasted this cuvee because it shows the same buoyant but sour fruit with none of the paint box sweetness that so many of the cross-dressing S/V’s used to parade. This was an age of punitive, challenging wines with earth and bark so much of their make-up and I see a lot of happy memories in this 2015 vintage wine.
