Add this one to the no-brainer list.
It’s pretty smart drinking. You’d be happy with this for just about any occasion. It’s all sweet-sour cherry and cranberry with enough spice and undergrowth-like flavour to make it feel like the real McCoy. It’s generally satiny – helped along by smoky oak – but there’s a shoot of dry tannin reaching back through the wine. There’s no need to decant or anything like that; it’s ready-to-rip immediately on opening.
