A bright, fruity perfume of watermelon Jolly Rancher, lime leaf and orange oil opens, with a mineral underbelly, like a river running beneath the surface. Aromas flow to flavours. The melon is less confected here thanks to a streak of lovely acidity. There’s some richness and a roundness but always drinkability. This is a top weeknight wine for Chard lovers.
