A special parcel of Chardonnay from our Y28 block. These Single Vineyard releases are site expressive wines where we as winemakers take a back seat to let their unique terroir do the talking.

This Chardonnay starts delicate and restrained, with a crystalline minerality and delicate white florals. Concentration builds with fleshy peach and lemon curd to a remarkably intense and powerful finish.

New wine to the Yering Station range, available from the middle of next month (October 2022). One sip and the golden age of Australian chardonnay spread out before me. This is what it’s all about. Yellow stonefruit, lemonade, candied citrus, sweet roasted nuts and an integrated bite of grapefruit. It reaches to all corners of your mouth, igniting as it goes. It has very good intensity but more to the point, it just gets everything right. Honeysuckle/popcorn/custard powder notes are here too, and in appropriate measure. It’s a beautiful wine, and a persistent one.

This is a delicate and exquisitely structured Chardonnay showing the virtues of the Yarra Valley beautifully. The nose has a subtle and complex merging of grapefruit, chalk dust and citrus, while the palate is finely presented with the crunchy minerality a feature. It is the perfect example of a modern Australian Chardonnay with a fine linear elegance that is so appealing.

Pale and bright lemon-yellow colour. Subtle nose with grapefruit, lime and hints of sea spray showing. The palate sits with a depth and intensity that the nose didn’t suggest but still subtle in its nuances. It carries very long with a subtle acidity that rings pure through to the finish. Very more-ish and appealing because of its subtlety.
