The proud definition of our house style. These wines are produced from vineyards that are carefully managed by Yering Station’s team to ensure they reflect, and continue to reflect, Yarra Valley’s hallmark characters.

Classic in style, this wine displays a tight mineral backbone overlaid with opulent stone fruit creaminess. The center is richly complex, with a typical Yarra Valley long and lingering finish.

Tasting Notes

Bright straw
Lemon, lime and pear fruit focus with floral notes
A beautiful palate supported by toasted almond oak characters and a slight flint element derived from the barrel fermentation. Fine acid provides the structure which the texture builds upon, delivering a long, balanced mouthfeel with good persistency

Hand picked, whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented. Matured in a combination of new and seasoned French oak for 10 months, lees stirred.

Professional Reviews

Light, bright yellow hue, with a smoky-toasty complex bouquet that is very chardonnay, complete with a hint of peach and a touch of butteriness. The palate is light to medium-weight and pleasantly flavoured, with good balance and a clean, dry finish that lingers quite well. Appropriately priced.
Chardonnay to the gills. Fleshy and full of stone fruit characters, crushed fennel notes adding that bit extra. Yering Station knows chardonnay. Cedar, toast and honeycomb characters all makes appearances here, particularly the former, and they all seem completely in keeping with the wine’s main serve of grilled peach flavour. In good form.
