Guy Grossi at Yering Station

Yering Station has teamed up with Guy Grossi to present a one-off special lunch where all proceeds raised will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. The event will feature five courses plus canapés, with matching Yering Station wines, poured mostly from magnums with a predominately Shiraz focus. Our winemaker Brendan Hawker and Viticulturist Andy Clarke will also be at the luxurious lunch to talk about the wines.

The culinary collaboration will see Yering Station’s head chef Maxime Croiset work closely with Grossi to present a one-of-a-kind menu. Croiset has previously worked in some of the finest Michelin star restaurants in London and France and incorporates his French heritage into the Yering kitchen.

Guy Grossi said: “I’m really looking forward to this event. It’s a beautiful winery in an area surrounded by amazing fresh produce. We’re so lucky to have access to this calibre of food and wine and putting it all together for this charity is very special.”

The lunch features dishes created by Croiset and Grossi individually, along with creative collaborations from both chefs.

The Rathbone family brought Yering Station in 1996 after being drawn to its natural beauty, history and the quality of its wines. Today Yering Station is one of the jewels of the Yarra Valley region, recognised for its landmark winery and restaurant complex. The stunning architecture and impressive grounds set the scene for an incredible lunch in the Yarra Valley.
The Rathbone family are the original founders of the Children’s Cancer Foundation, therefore the organisation is close to their hearts. The charity has supported children with cancer since 1992, striving for better and less harmful treatments. An experiential prize will be auctioned on the day to further raise money for the charity.
