Guy Grossi at Yering Station with Maxime Croiset

On Saturday 20 May, we welcomed Guy Grossi to Yering Station. Together with our Head Chef Maxime Croiset, Guy Grossi created an inspiring menu specifically matched to an incredible line up of wines. We are extremely thankful for the generosity of our guests on the day as we raised a total of $28,725.  All proceeds were donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Guest who attended the event experienced a five course menu plus canapés, with matching Yering Station wines, poured mostly from magnums with a predominately Shiraz focus. Yering Station’s winemaker Brendan Hawker and Viticulturist Andy Clarke presented the wines for each course and Gordon Gebbie was the Auctioneer on the day. We were thrilled with the generosity of our guests as they opened their wallets and donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

“The Rathbone Family have been involved in raising money for the Children’s Cancer Foundation since it first started 25 years ago. We are very pleased to see the success it has had in improving the lives of Children with Cancer and their families. This event has been a great success and we would like to thank everyone for their generosity on the day.” – Darren Rathbone.

A special thank you to Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, National Gallery of Victoria and Microflite Melbourne City Heliport who generously donated to the Auction prize!
