Whole bunch fermentation is masterfully controlled, slipping into a silky gown of fine, supple tannins." 94 Points

A VERY aromatic, floral Yarra Valley red that shows elegant, scented lift from a little viognier. It stops short of being overdone and the spicy mixed-berry characters of Yarra Valley shiraz show through. With quietly harry oak a bit player, it tastes rich and round, with a light peppery edge. Texture is fine, tannins are suave. (Screw cap; 14.5 per cent alcohol.)
Ageing? - Drink over three years.
Food ideas - Roast duck with cherries; scallopini alla marsala.
Stocklists include - McCoppins, Fitzroy; Carma Cellars, South Melbourne.
"Bright, clear crimson; a supremely fragrant bouquet with red and black cherry fruit interwoven with allspice, the immaculately constructed and balanced palate, with fine, faintly savoury, tannins and a blessing of French oak, once again proves Yering Station’s mastery of the style."
